Rebecca is the local esthetician at Experiences Salon & Spa. Her specialty is European Facials and since she did her training in Europe and has work Experience there, you are getting the authentic experience.
When you arrive, there is a lovely candle lit room where you change into a robe and wait for your facial/massage. Fruit infused water, raisins, cereal bars, & power bars are available.
After being escorted to the facial room, Rebecca began to work her magic. Gauze strips were placed over my eyes and a grapefruit cleanser was used. She used strokes that were up toward the middle of my face, toward my forehead, then down around the outside of my face. (Now you know how to wash your face like a facial.)
It smelled and felt very refreshing.
Facial Fact: (It doesn’t matter whether your skin is clean or not; it will be cleansed again a GOOD esthetician will examine your skin before starting the facial process. Often a bright light & magnifying glass are used to examine your skin for blemishes, damage, hyperpigmentation, etc. This helps your skin guru pick the products that will be most beneficial during your facial.)
My skin didn’t have any big problems, but looked a little sensitive. MY favorite product was the botanical spot treatment. I liked the earthy herbal smell and it had an ugly blemish with a scab smooth and less red by the end of the facial.
She also used a Warm Apple Mask, a Lime and Vanilla Cream, and a Strawberry Exfoliant Mask. Facial Fact (Strawberries are a Natural Source of Salycylic Acid and a Natural Exfoliant).
The best smelling mask: the Warm Apple Mask Smelled like a Candle or hot apple cider.***
Favorite part: The steam & ozone on my face; it was just warm and relaxing. AND All of the massages.
I’m happy to say none of the pore cleansing was painful.
***Even though the products are plant based & organic, some of them still have an artificial fragrance/parfum/perfume. If you have sensitivities, ask about the ingredients before you go.
Facial Fact: (One of the things REBECCA emphasized: European Facials esp HER techniques involve acupressure of the face, massage of the shoulders, & while steam/ozone are opening your pores a little hand massage and reflexology on your feet)
